Senior Test Engineer – Industrial and Commercial Printing
The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, executing test plans, and analyzing test results for new and existing industrial printing products. This role will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate with design, purchasing, and manufacturing teams.
Someone who does field service printer repair may be a good match; they can train.
This role is full-time on-site in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Qualification:
- Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing methods for Design Verification.
- Ensure product quality by creating test fixtures that include building, programming, debugging, and deploying.
- Maintain and update test fixtures and equipment supporting functional and final acceptance tests.
- Understand the functionality of industrial printers to reduce test time or suggest additional test cases.
- Participate in design reviews and design for testability,
- Compile test data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, manufacturing processes, or test requirements.
- Understand product requirements to select sensors and equipment to create a full test strategy.
- Understand customer requirements and translate to test cases for product qualification and production test.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites; infrequently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements :
- Associate degree in science or STEM discipline or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product testing and qualification.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics, embedded software, and communication protocols.
- Experience in troubleshooting digital and analog electronics.
