Vice President of Sales – Roofing


Position Summary:


The Vice President of Sales - Roofing will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s Roofing sales strategy, driving Roofing revenue growth, and expanding market share. This role involves developing and leading the Roofing sales team, managing relationships with key customers, and overseeing day-to-day sales operations. The VP of Sales – Roofing will work closely with the executive team to align sales goals with overall business objectives and ensure consistent growth in a highly competitive market.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive Roofing revenue growth and profitability.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish sales targets, quotas, and KPIs in alignment with organizational goals.


2. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue and sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and promote professional development within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment, ensuring clear communication of goals and expectations.


3. Revenue Growth and Forecasting:

  • Drive Roofing sales performance to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals.
  • Manage sales forecasting and pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely projections.
  • Use data analytics to monitor and adjust sales strategies to maximize performance and improve forecasting accuracy.


4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer issues, working with the sales and customer service teams to address challenges effectively.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.


5. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with team to ensure alignment and collaboration on customer acquisition, product launches, and promotional strategies.


6. Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Provide insights to the executive team on market conditions, potential risks, and opportunities for growth.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role (VP or Director level).
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in sales industry, specifically roofing, construction or related field is preferred.

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
