Tony leads our Diversity and Career Transition Practices and is responsible for our strategic efforts to broaden our reach for talent in this significantly more diverse marketplace. Tony and his team are frequently called on to deliver Diversity and Inclusion strategy development and training. He is widely known for his program on unconscious bias as just one example of his expertise.
Tony is a human resource executive and inclusion expert with extensive experience in Fortune 100 companies to include Pepsi Cola, GE (NBC Entertainment), Dell, and Disney. Beginning his career in Training and Development with the Zale Jewelry Corporation, he has held increasingly more responsible HR management roles with various organizations. While at Pepsi Cola in New York and Los Angeles, Tony received accolades for his strategic talent acquisition success during a high growth period for the company.
He had continuous success throughout his corporate career as a result of broadening the talent pool and identifying highly successful candidates, many of whom were passive relative to search, but were open to conversation. While serving as Director of Human Resources for NBC Entertainment (subsidiary of General Electric), Tony managed the Diversity Awareness program focusing on awareness and inclusion for staff as well as pursuing strategies to get more people of color both in front and behind the camera in the television industry.
Tony was also instrumental in establishing GE’s African American Forum in Southern California, serving as chairperson for his entire tenure with NBC. As a facilitator, trainer, and speaker, Tony has spoken and presented to various groups across the nation on topics ranging from career development to diversity to management training. He has presented at the National Black MBA Conference, a host of Rotary Clubs and numerous HR conferences.
Over the past several years, Tony has focused on management and leadership development to include Diversity and inclusion. A shortlist of his clients includes Verizon, Southern Glazers, John Deere, Munich Re, City of Dallas, Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport, John Peter Smith Hospital System and Nestle’. Tony has joined TriSearch as Managing Director of our Diversity Practice, where he will lead our strategic efforts to broaden our reach for talent in this significantly more diverse marketplace.
The expertise that he brings also allows us to support our clients in the area of D&I strategy and development on an as-need basis. Tony holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of North Texas with Graduate course work at Texas Southern University and the University of North Texas. He has completed executive training at GE’s John F. Welch Leadership Development Center at Crotonville and chosen as a charter class member of the Walt Disney Consumer Products Global Leadership Institute, which consisted of the division’s top 40 executives worldwide.
